Measuring age-friendliness based on the walkability indices of older people to urban facilities

چکیده

This study aims to measure age-friendliness based on the walkability indices of older people urban facilities in sample area Istanbul, Turkey and various districts within. It focuses three key age-friendly cities: open public spaces, health services basic needs; Quantitative datasets are also utilised order environment. There two main quantitative dimensions study: generate accessible areas identify values within identified accessibility areas. To age-friendliness, new index sets were created using Age-Friendly Approach Index Weighted Index. The results underline that most spaces districts: Fatih, Beyo?lu Üsküdar; Kad?köy, ?i?li, Beyo?lu, Bayrampa?a, Güngören Bahçelievler; needs ?i?li Gaziosmanpa?a. Overall, found have widest areas, whilst moving towards periphery city decrease terms age-friendliness. least Beykoz, Çekmeköy, Büyükçekmece Silivri. allow us discuss, compare better understand local government policies.
